Ado-Ekiti Stands Still as Masses Stage Anti-Corruption Protest Against Fayose (Photos)

Pressure seems to be mounting on the already embattled Governor Ayodele Peter Fayose of Ekiti State as the despondent people have staged a massive protest against his governance.

The month of June, 2016 may be a period to forget for People's Democratic Party chieftain, Ayodele Fayose who has shuttled among a wide range of problems ranging from the non-payment of the salaries of state civil servants over a period of 4 months, the dramatic freezing of his Zenith bank personal accounts by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission over suspicious of fraud and now, a statement of rejection by a large section of masses in Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital.
 
Reports reaching Tori News reveal Ado Ekiti is currently experiencing a standstill as masses have trooped out in hundreds to protest against allegations of corruption, unpaid salaries, lies and blackmail against labour leaders.
 
The threatening protest reportedly took off at 1:00pm today, 24th of June, 2016 as a viable medium through which the suppressed people could express their grievances against the state.
