After Leaving Dream Team Stranded, Dalung Praises Nigeria Over Japan Defeat

Following Nigeria's win over Japan, see what the Minister of Sports, Solomon Dalung is saying after he was blasted by Nigerians yesterday for contributing to the team being stranded in Atlanta.
Minister of Sports, Solomon Dalung
The Minister of Sports, Solomon Dalung has congratulated Nigeria's Dream Team for beating Japan in their first game at Rio 2016 Olympics. This is coming after he posted an article saying that the team went to Atlanta without approval.
The team was stranded in Atlanta just a day to their first match at Rio which made Nigerians blast the Minister and the Federal Government for its lackadaisical attitude to the team.
Solomon Dalung wrote: "I heartily congratulate the National U-23 football team for their outstanding 5-4 victory over Japan in their opening Group B game.
The Dream Team VI not only showed resilience in the face of adversity but demonstrated patriotism, team work and the CAN DO SPIRIT that Nigerians are known for globally.
I urge them to put aside all that happened in Atlanta and focus on the challenges ahead.
The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari is proud of your achievement this morning and will continue to support you as you seek to relive the 1996 feat.
God Bless the Dream Team VI.
God bless Nigeria."
