A man in the northern part of Nigeria has been apprehended by the police over an act of bestiality.
The police in Katsina have apprehended a man (name withheld) who was caught having s*x with a mare, the state commissioner of police Usman Abdullahi has said.
The suspect was arrested having carnal knowledge of the animal at the state polo ground at the night.
The police commissioner said the parked motorcycle of the suspect drew the attention of the police and upon getting there; the suspect was caught in the act.
While decrying the attitude, Abdullahi said drug abuse might not be responsible for the unusual behaviour.
He called on religious and community leaders to intensify sensitization on the ills of drug abuse and assured that the police will continue to play its role in sanitizing the society.
